Joni has read charts for more than 45 years. She spent two decades as a Western astrologer before Vedic astrology proved itself to her, one chart at a time, and she has taught it ever since.
She founded the University of Vedic Astrology to pass the system on properly: in order, with real charts from the very first class, and with a tutor checking your work at every step. When you graduate, it is Joni who sits in on your final reading.

No. Semester 1 starts from first principles: planets, signs and houses. Many students enroll purely for personal insight and decide later whether to take it further.
Is Vedic astrology a religion?
No. It has roots in ancient Indian culture, but here it is taught as a system of knowledge. You don't need to hold any particular beliefs to study it, or to find it useful.
How much time will it take?
As much as your life allows. The program is self-paced: classes are recorded, never expire, and you can enroll any time. Study a little every week or in focused bursts.
Will I be able to read charts for other people?
Yes, that is the point. To graduate you give a real reading to a real client, with Joni sitting in, and she gives you extensive feedback. Many graduates go on to build a practice of their own, and some become UVA tutors.
What does it cost?
