What a Vedic reading tells you
Most people arrive having only had Western readings. These are the four things that will feel different.
Vedic astrology runs on planetary periods — Sanskrit dashas. They're what lets an astrologer say not only that a change is in your chart, but roughly when it arrives.

Your graduate needs three things: your date of birth, your exact time of birth, and your place of birth. Vedic astrology is calculated from the sky's real positions at that moment, so the birth time matters — a few minutes changes the chart.
Your birth certificate is usually the reliable source.

You'll be asked for them when you book, so your chart is cast before you meet.
60 minutes by video. The recording will be sent afterwards.
Times shown in your own timezone. You'll enter your birth details as you book.
Book a chart rectification. You'll be emailed a list of questions about major events in your life, and your astrologer works backwards from those to establish an accurate birth time. It's a deeper piece of work than a standard reading.
Every reading is one hour, by video. Natal, child, Muhurta and yearly-update readings are $350. Relationship compatibility is $400, since it means reading two charts against each other. Chart rectification is $890 — the most involved of the six, and the one to book if you don't know your birth time.
Live, one to one, by video — you can ask questions as you go, which is most of the value. A recording will be sent to you afterwards.
Yes, and it usually makes for a better reading. Say what you want to look at when you book, and your graduate will have worked that part of the chart before you meet.
That's most people. Expect your planets to sit in different signs — Vedic astrology uses the sky's real positions, which have drifted about 24° from the Western zodiac. Your graduate will explain the difference before reading anything into it.
Reschedule any time, as long as you let us know more than 24 hours before your appointment. Inside 24 hours, and for cancellations, the fee isn't refunded — your astrologer has already cast and studied your chart by then.
